The Shack
by

“This book sat on my bookshelf for three months because I did not think I could bear to read about a child being abducted and brutally murdered by a serial killer; but once I started the book, I could not put it down.
Mackenzie Allen Philip goes through a period of Great Sadness and pain after the loss of his youngest daughter. One day he gets a letter inviting him to meet God at the shack where the murder occurred. Could you meet God there? Would you want answers? What would God look like? What would He say? How would He explain letting a sociopath take the life of Mackenzie’s precious daughter?
I think this book will broaden your thinking about God as your Comforter and Friend. I think it will make you want to have a closer walk with Him. I highly recommend this book.”

“Jesus often spoke in parables. In a world that seems more evil every day, isn’t it possible that God could speak to us through works of fiction? I think The Shack could be such a work.”

“What a small but powerful book! What a great, deeper view of forgiveness! I finished this book knowing my God is nothing but wonderful, He loves me, and He wants to please me. That makes me want to please Him; after all, I am His favorite. Don’t worry, you are His favorite, too! Our Father is truly our Father.”
